Welcome to TestIt
testIT (Pvt) Ltd., is the sole Licensee for Sri Lanka andMaldives for all qualifications offered by ECDL Foundation, operating as ICDLSri Lanka.
As the sole local business promoter and distributor for this territory, testIT’s responsibilities include creating goodwill in the ICDL concept, marketing and promoting all ECDL Foundation qualifications, and liaising with Government Bodies/ Agencies and the Test Centres.
How can I get certified? | The ICDL is awarded upon completion of 7 Modules ranging from essential concepts of IT, word-processing and spreadsheets to using Email and the internet. The above Modules may be taken in any order and within the span of three years from the data of the first test. All modules, except the first one, are manifestations of practical skills. The tests are tasks-oriented and are typical of day-to-day computer operations. Click for Details >> | |
Test Centre Approval Guidelines | A centre MUST be formally Approved by the ECDL Foundation or its Local Accreditation Agent to be able to conduct ICDL tests within their premises. The Test Centre Approval process ensures that the centre’s testing environment and staff has met the standards set internationally. All ICDL tests conducted are automated and the centre must check that its operating environment meets the technical requirements.
Tests can be administered On-Line or LAN based, centres should ensure that they do have internet connectivity at a minimum of 56kbps. Click to Continue >> |

The International Computer Driving Licensee (ICDL) is a global programme aiming at raising the general level of competence in IT in all sectors of the society and, therefore, Promoting life-long e-learning. The programme's main objective is to establish a benchmark for basic computer skills giving the opportunity for the Sri Lankan population to effectively join the new information age and consequently leading to fulfilling the ultimate objective of computer literacy. The ICDL concept is owned by the ECDL Foundation, which is a non-profit organization based in Dublin, Ireland.
